The 30-Day Lean & Mean Challenge!

This goes out to anyone who needs direction with what to eat...

Nutrition is 80% of your results, you can exercise as much as you want and you can wait for those magic results  to come and end up frustrated when what you want doesn't happen!!!

Food is the key to turning your body into a body fat burning machine.  I have put together The 30-Day Lean & Mean Challenge that will teach you about the one concept to give you lifelong control over your weight no matter where you are at right now.

I have lived this way for just about 2 years now and I have never been in better shape in my life, even when competing in Ironman Triathlons. I am also the healthiest I have been in a long time. After suffering for a year and half with severe autoimmune sickness I went from super-fit to barely being able to complete an exercise class. After this suffering I took my health very seriously and researched and investigated everything to get my health back. Changing my nutrition to this way of eating is the number one thing that resurrected my health and am now 20 times more healthy, the fittest and strongest I have ever been. I back my Challenge with my personal health stamp.

You can do this anywhere in the world,  the Challenge starts when you are ready to start!

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Your body is begging you to get it healthy from the inside out!

TRY THIS WORKOUT..... NEW YEAR LEG BLASTER!

Happy New Year!

Its always good to use your new year good feeling buzz and have a cracker workout that you know you emptied the tank and felt the challenge! I wanted to share this workout with you to help kick start your new year with a good session that when you finish it you leave  knowing you did it! Every good workout needs to have a certain amount of challenge in it which gives you the feel good factor at the end.
Its awesome if you can do it with a buddy so you can share the good feelings and motivate each other through the tough parts.
Resistance training is an integral part of your training, the benefits and results you gain you can't get from any other type of training......So my point is make resistance training a part of your exercise habits and you will get those results you are looking for, you will turn your body into a body fat burning machine! (not to mention a heap of other great benefits).

Try this workout if you already are doing weights. If you have not trained in the weights room before its probably wise that you spend 12 weeks or so building up basic strength. You can start by doing an awesome Les Mills BODYPUMP class. Checkout www.lesmills.co.nz or .com to get more information on fitness classes. Or you could get a Personal Trainer to help get you on your way before you try this sort of workout.

SUPER SET ONE:  - Complete 10 sets of Super set

10 Sets
1. Squats - (choose a weight you can complete 10 sets with)
10 x Reps with a tempo of 4 counts down and 1 up
60 seconds rest - then complete exercise 2.

2. Hamstring Leg Curls
8 x reps with a tempo of 4 counts down and 1 up (start curled up then release out for 4)
60 seconds rest - then complete exercise 1.

STAY FOCUSED ON FEELING GOOD & YOU WILL STAY MOTIVATED TO EXERCISE!

As a passionate health and fitness leader I was looking for another way of reaching out and giving back to anyone who's looking for inspiration, motivation and tips to help you along your health and fitness journey...

I have the privilege of helping hundreds of people on a weekly basis get fit and healthy through teaching Group Fitness classes at Les Mills here in Auckland, and I'm always inspired by the people in my classes pushes their own limits. This brings me to my first blog focus.

STAY FOCUSED ON FEELING GOOD & YOU WILL STAY MOTIVATED!

Next time you workout try to really hook yourself into the feeling of the workout, the sweat, the music, the atmosphere, how you will feel when you walk out of the gym.....AWESOME!

Sometimes we think too much about the long term results of exercise and the benefits we want to gain such as reducing weight, getting leaner, decreasing bodyfat etc
Doing this can impact your motivation because when you can't actually see these results straight away. We can become disheartened and start to believe that its not going to happen. It will happen but it takes consistency and time. Every workout you put in your bank is a deposit toward the results you want to achieve.

Stay focused on the the awesome feelings of working out when you are in the workout and you will be motivated to keep coming back for more!

Tell me how you feel after your next workout...
